The Dajur Chronicles
A vaguely X-shaped continent, a blocky, stumpy X, not long skinny arms radiating from a minuscule midpoint. The whole left side of the X is bordered by a vast ocean. The upper left (northwest) arm of the landmass is like a cross between Ireland and Seattle, green but very rainy and cold. The lower left (southwest) is more tropical with swamps and jungles and monsoons. The upper right (northeast) is mountainous, with the ranges getting higher (and icier) as you travel north and east from foothills to mountains to Himalayas. Lower right (southeast) fades from grasslands to badlands to desert. There are other lands beyond the northeast mountains and southeast desert but crossing those natural features is very difficult so contact is limited. The middle of the X is of course the generic land of farms and forests and rivers.
Humans, halflings and gnomes are found basically everywhere; dwarves are obviously concentrated in the mountains; elves are mainly found in the western half of the continent but there are outlying tribes here and there all over.
